I think that its leftovers from the early perl version of PRADS.
We aim to have db logging in the future in PRADS, but its best
done by reading the prads-asset.log and then inserting entries
into the DB from there.

There are some perl scripts in tools/ dir that you could look at,
but I dont think there are any tools yet that does the
log -> DB today... Its a tool that is much wanted, from the
developers and users, but no one has focused on it yet...
